Luciana Paoluzzi grew up at home in Rome along with her family. Luciana Paoluzzi's father is an Italian army officer. Maria Rota Paoluzzi's mother was an ex-love interest with Benito Mussolini. There are no known siblings. Luciana was a graduate of a local high-school in 1955 and was a student of naval engineering at Milan at the Scientific Academy of Milan. Luciana, the only female in her class, was the first to be a graduate. Within two years she started her modeling career. After a while, she was offered the chance to be a part of Three Coins in the Fountain during a trip to Rome visiting the family friend of her father. Brett Halsey was the first man she married. He's an actor. Following their marriage in 1960 they produced the film Return to the Peyton Palace. Luciana received custody after the couple broke up a few years later. Charles was born. Between 1962 and 1970, Luciana was with Tony Athony, an actor and producer who was influenced by her work in the movie Green Slime and based on that he wrote and produced his own hybrid Spaghetti Western for which he was a bit of a hit.
